Biology: Puparia pale or dark with a periferal layer of transparent wax..

Distribution :  All but two species are restricted to the Australasia Region.  

Taxonomy :  Caudal & Tracheal clefts in the form of exaggerated and normally invaginated combs;  with a distinctive submarginal row of barrow or dentate glands;  Paired setae always on A1,  A8, & caudal;  cephalic setae present or absent.
