Nomenclature :

Biology [Gillespie 2006]  Pupal case large and usually pale; covered with white wax.  Likely to be limited to proteaceae.

Distribution: Australia [Gillespie 2006] .

Taxonomy [Gillespie 2006] 

Compound and simple pores completely absent except for a marginal row of pores.  Margin appears weakly finely crenulate. 

Cephalothoracic, A1 and A8 setal pairs present. Moulting sutures present. Terminal claw on each leg present or replaced by a pad/collar with a subapical setae (instead of a claw).  

Vasiform orifice circular to D” shaped.  Lingula is exserted (glossary definition) with on pair of long setae and the second pair absent or present.

Similar genera: Differs 1) from Dialeurodicus in shape and having an exserted lingula and, 2) from  Stenaleyrodes which has an elongated shape, and 3) from Synaleurodicus  by having moulting sutures and lacking agglomerate pores.
