Many people have helped me with this project, that originated from a promise I made to my late partner, Jill Newland. Together we travelled all over Australia photographing plants, often with a focus on mistletoes, and we always intended to create a key to assist with their identification.

I am grateful in particular, to Frank Zich and Professor Darren Crayn at the Australian Tropical Herbarium in Cairns for providing early support and the Lucid licence. Frank’s advice and help was invaluable throughout the project, from developing the character set, testing the key and advising on the glossary and character help.
