Call shape

Calls of species in the subfamily Phyllodia, or the Pteronotus parnellii complex are unmistakable. They are the only constant frequency bats in the New World.

    Notes

    This is the current taxonomic recognition of what formerly was considered P. parnellii. While considered extirpated from the islands (Morgan, 2001) details are provided in the event the species arrives on the islands again.
