Distribution and Habitat

Yallingup to William Bay, growing in deep sandy soils in coastal woodlands and shrublands. The species is most abundant in disturbed areas along the edges of graded tracks and firebreaks.

Description

A late flowering species 200–250 mm high with a hairy leaf 80–100 mm long by 2–5 mm wide and up to three pale creamy-yellow, sometimes green-tinged flowers 50–70 mm across. The leaf is often shrivelled at the time of flowering.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from other members of the Caladenia filamentosa complex by its shortened petals and sepals, late flowering period and coastal distribution.
