Distribution and Habitat

Peak Charles to Balladonia, growing in soil pockets on isolated granite outcrops.

Description

A rare, granite inhabiting subspecies with a hairy leaf 50–150 mm long by 5–11 mm wide and up to two green, yellow and red flowers 30–40 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

The subspecies was previously considered a form of Small Mantis Orchid (Caladenia attingens subsp. gracillima) but has smaller flowers with spreading to slightly upcurved (rather than prominently upcurved) lateral sepals.
