Distribution and Habitat

South of Williams, growing in sandy and sandy-clay soils in woodlands and shrublands alongside a seasonal drainage line. Currently, just one population is known.

Description

A rare subspecies 200–300 mm high with a hairy leaf 100–150 mm long by 2–3 mm wide and up to three lemon-yellow flowers 50–70 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the similar subsp. ‘Mooradung’ by its slightly smaller flowers and narrower labellum. From all other subspecies it is distinguished by its smaller flowers and prominently downturned, rather than protruding, labellum apex.
