Distribution and Habitat

Albany to Pemberton, growing in clay and sandy-clay soils in seasonally wet areas on lake and swamp margins and along the edges of seasonal creeks, flowering best in the season following summer fire.

Description

A rare species 250–400 mm high with a hairy leaf 80–200 mm long by 4–12 mm wide and up to four creamy-white flowers 60–80 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from most other members of the Caladenia longicauda complex by its smallish flowers with stiffly held, relatively short sepals and petals and short labellum fringe segments.
