Distribution and Habitat

Mingenew to Ravensthorpe, growing in sandy and sandy-clay soils in woodlands and shrublands. The species is particularly common on sandy rises above salt lakes.

Description

A common wheatbelt species 100–300 mm high with a hairy leaf 50–150 mm long by 4–6 mm wide and one (rarely two) greenish to greenish-yellow and red flowers 15–30 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from all other members of the Caladenia roei complex by its long lateral sepals that terminate in small apical clubs.
