Distribution and Habitat

Nerren Nerren to Cranbrook and eastwards to Lake King, growing in sandy-clay and clay soils in woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A small, early flowering species 60–150 mm high with a hairy leaf 10–40 mm long by 8–10 mm wide when mature and one (rarely two) cream and deep purplish-red flowers 20–30 mm across. The leaf enlarges dramatically after flowering.
