Distribution and Habitat

Esperance to israelite Bay, growing in sandy, sandy-clay and granitic soils in woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A geographically restricted species 200–450 mm high with a hairy leaf 50–200 mm long by 4–6 mm wide and up to two green, yellow and red flowers 30–50 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Smooth-lipped Spider Orchid (Caladenia integra) by its smaller flowers, smaller labellum with calli extending well onto the dark purple apex and easterly distribution.
