Distribution and Habitat
Shark Bay to Coorow, growing in sandy and sandy-clay soils in woodlands and shrublands.

Description
A northern subspecies 80–150 mm high with a hairy leaf, 50–120 mm long by 10–12 mm wide, which is tinged reddish-purple on the underside and up to three (rarely four) lemon-yellow, fawnish-brown or red blotched flowers 20–30 mm across.
Distinguishing Features
It is distinguished from the other subspecies by its prominently blotched flowers, more numerous labellum fringe segments and more northerly distribution.
