Distribution and Habitat

Yallingup to William Bay, growing in deep sandy soil on consolidated coastal dunes.

Description

An attractive coastal species 200–300 mm high with a hairy leaf 80–200 mm long by 4–15 mm wide and up to three pale pink flowers 40–80 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from Broad-lipped Spider Orchid (Caladenia applanata), with which it sometimes grows, by its paler pink, acutely downcurved petals and sepals, more slender clubs, narrower labellum and finer calli.
