Distribution and Habitat

Kalgarin to Newdegate, growing in rare, isolated populations on granite outcrops.

Description

A rare, habitat restricted species 120–300 mm high with a hairy leaf 80–150 mm long by 5–10 mm wide and up to two greenish-yellow, red and white flowers 40–50 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the closely related Hoffman's Spider Orchid (Caladenia hoffmanii) by its larger flowers with longer basal calli, later flowering period and more southerly distribution.
