Distribution and Habitat

Jurien Bay to Tenderden, growing in sandy-clay and granitic soils in open woodlands and shrublands.

Description

An early flowering species 100–250 mm high with a hairy leaf 40–120 mm long by 2–3 mm wide and up to two smallish, creamy-white to creamy-yellow flowers 40–80 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Common Spider Orchid (Caladenia varians) by its smaller flowers and earlier flowering period.
