Distribution and Habitat

Geraldton to the Murchison River, growing in sandy-clay soil on rocky hills and breakaways.

Description

A geographically restricted species 120–300 mm high with a hairy leaf 80–150 mm long by 5–10 mm wide and up to two greenish-yellow, red and white flowers 30–45 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the closely related Pingaring Spider Orchid (Caladenia graniticola) by its smaller flowers with shorter basal calli, earlier flowering period and more northerly distribution.
