A common species 150–250 mm high with a hairy leaf 50–150 mm long by 3–6 mm wide and up to two creamy-white to creamy-yellow flowers 70–90 mm across.
It is distinguished from Common Spider Orchid (Caladenia varians) by its more stiffly held creamy-yellow petals and sepals, broader labellum broader more squat calli and more easterly distribution. From yellow-cream variants of Joseph’s Spider Orchid (C. polychroma) it differs in having less prominent radiating stripes and markings on the labellum, cream to pale brownish yellow, rather than creamy-white often red-tipped labellum lamina calli and a more easterly distribution.
