Distribution and Habitat

Collie to Bowelling, growing in sandy soils in forests and woodlands.

Description

A recently discovered species 120–400 mm high with a hairy leaf 120–200 mm long by 4–11 mm wide and up to two cream, pale yellow or greenish-yellow, red-marked flowers 40–60 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the similar Bussell’s Spider Orchid (Caladenia busselliana) by its shorter petals, more prominently clubbed sepals, smaller labellum and different range of distribution.
