Distribution and Habitat

Augusta to Margaret River, growing in sandy-clay and clay soils in seasonally-damp flats.

Description

A late flowering species 200–400 mm high with a hairy leaf 100–200 mm long by 5–10 mm wide and up to two creamy-white to creamy-yellow, red-marked flowers 50–100 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the co-occurring Christmas Spider Orchid (Caladenia serotina) by its shorter, spreading petals, clubbed sepals and generally earlier flowering period.
