Distribution and Habitat

Arrowsmith to Gingin and inland to Wongan Hills, growing in sandy and sandy-clay soil on the edges of seasonally wet flats, watercourses and lakes.

Description

A geographically restricted subspecies 250–450 mm high with a hairy leaf 120–200 mm long by 3–11 mm wide and up to four predominantly creamy-white, acridly-scented flowers 50–100 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the closely related Daddy long-legs White Spider Orchid (Caladenia longicauda subsp. borealis) by its smaller flowers, smaller labellum and preference for seasonally wet habitat.
