Distribution and Habitat

Beuafort Inlet to Fitzgerald River National Park, growing in sandy soils in coastal woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A south coastal subspecies 150–350 mm high with a hairy leaf 60–160 mm long by 5–10 mm wide and up to three creamy-white flowers 50–80 mm across. It intergrades with the larger-flowered Stark White Spider Orchid (Caladenia longicauda subsp. eminens) a little inland from the coast.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from Stark White Spider Orchid (Caladenia longicauda subsp. eminens) by its smaller flowers, narrower labellum and narrower lateral sepals.
