Distribution and Habitat

Beermullah to Murchinson River, growing in sandy and sandy-clay soils in woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A common northern subspecies 250–400 mm high with a hairy leaf 100–250 mm long by 6–12 mm wide and up to four predominantly white flowers 90–120 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the similar subsp. albella by its larger flowers, larger labellum and preference for dryer soils in upland habitat.
