Distribution and Habitat
Mt Barker to Toodyay, growing in sandy-clay soils in forests and woodlands.

Description
A common subspecies 200–400 mm high with a hairy leaf 100–250 mm long by 8–12 mm wide and up to three predominantly white flowers 60–80 mm across.
Distinguishing Features
It is distinguished from the subsp. eminens, with which it intergrates at the western edge of its distribution, by its smaller flowers, usually shorter labellum fringe segments and mostly more westerly distribution.
