Distribution and Habitat

Toodyay to Albany, growing in sandy, sandy-clay and lateritic soils in forests and woodlands.

Description

A rare species 200–400 mm (rarely to 600 mm) high with a hairy leaf 100–250 mm long by 15–25 mm wide and up to three pale yellow-green and red flowers 50–60 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Clubbed Spider Orchid (Caladenia longiclavata) by the extremely long clubs on the sepals which extend at least half their length versus around a third their length on C. longiclavata.
