Distribution and Habitat

South of Geraldton to Augusta and eastwards to Ravensthorpe, growing in sandy soils in woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A wide spread subspecies 150–350 mm high with a hairy leaf 80–150 mm long by 4–5 mm wide and up to three creamy-white flowers 70–100 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Noble Spider Orchid (Caladenia nobilis) by its sweet odour, usually smaller flowers, narrower labellum, pendulous petals and lateral sepals and mostly more inland distribution.
