Distribution and Habitat

Augusta, growing in clay and sandy-clay soils in seasonally wet flats, flowering only in the season following summer fire.

Description

A geographically restricted subspecies 150–450 mm high with a hairy leaf 100–200 mm long by 6–10 mm wide and up to three creamy-white flowers 50–60 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the subsp. pholcoidea by its cream flowers, shorter petals and sepals, and earlier flowering period.
