Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Rock Spider Orchid (Caladenia petrensis) by its generally narrower leaf, usually single flowered inflorescence, larger flowers, narrower labellum and shorter column. It has a predominantly more westerly and north-westerly distribution than C. petrensis, overlapping only in the Mullewa area where they occur as separate populations and do not appear to intergrade.
