Distribution and Habitat

Carbunup River to Bridgetown, growing in sandy soils in forests and woodlands.

Description

A tall species 350–800 mm high with a hairy leaf 200–300 mm long by 8–15 mm wide and up to four greenish-yellow and red flowers 70–120 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related King Spider Orchid (Caladenia pectinata) by its taller scapes, often paler flower colouration, longer labellum, larger column and more westerly range of distribution.
