A clump-forming subspecies 50–120 mm high with a hairy leaf, 40–90 mm long by 8–10 mm wide, which is tinged reddish-purple on the underside and up to three pale to deep pink flowers 15–25 mm across.
It is distinguished from the similar Pink Fairies (Caladenia latifolia) by its usually smaller leaf, fewer flowered inflorescence, smaller flowers, dark pink labellum apex and generally more inland distribution. It also often grows in dense clumps unlike the more widely-spaced colonies of C. latifolia.
