Distribution and Habitat

Karroun Hill to Coolgardie, growing in soil pockets on banded ironstone hills.

Description

An inland species 150–350 mm high with a hairy leaf 60–150 mm long by 3–5 mm wide and up to two creamy-white to pale yellow flowers 80–120 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Glistening Spider Orchid (Caladenia incensum) by its usually narrower leaf and smaller dull cream to pale yellow, rather than glistening white flowers. From Rock Spider Orchid (Caladenia petrensis) it is distinguished by its larger flowers, horizontally spreading to up curved petals and creamy-yellow labellum lamina calli. It is distinguished from both these species by its more easterly distribution.
