South of Wannamal, growing in soil pockets on granite outcrops.

Description

An early flowering species 100–250 mm high with a hairy leaf 50–120 mm long by 2–3 mm wide and up to two smallish, creamy-white to creamy-yellow flowers 40–90 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Dwarf Common Spider Orchid (Caladenia hiemalis) by its longer, narrower, often pendulous petals and lateral sepals and smaller labellum.
