Distribution and Habitat

Mogumber to Tunney, growing in sandy-clay and lateritic soils in forest and woodlands.

Description

An early flowering species 150–260 mm high with a hairy leaf 60–100 mm long by 3–5 mm wide and up to three pale to rich yellow flowers 60–100 mm across. It is often found in clumps of up to eight or more plants

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the similar Tenterden Yellow Spider Orchid (Caladenia straminichila) by its smaller flowers, shorter, prominently arched petals and lateral sepals and earlier flowering period.
