Distribution and Habitat

Kimberley region, Charnley River Station to Theda Station, growing in loams and gravely loams, often at the base of Eucalyptus species. The species is also found in the Northern Territory and Queensland.

Description

A tall species 500–1000 mm high with a smooth leaf 250–500 mm long by 12–20 mm wide and up to 40 variably coloured dull green, yellow and red flowers 8–12 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the other Kimberley Beard Orchids by its tall flower scapes that are up to 1 m high and more numerous flowers.
