Distribution and Habitat

Perth to Mount Barren with a disjunct population on Mount Ragged north of Israelite Bay, growing in sandy, sandy-clay, lateritic and granitic soils in forests, woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A common, summer flowering species 250–1500 mm high with smooth leaves 100–300 mm long by 40–80 mm wide and up to 15 (rarely to 40) green, yellow and red, inverted flowers 8–12 mm across.
