Distribution and Habitat

Nerren Nerren to Lake Johnston, growing in sandy-clay and granitic soil on granite outcrops, rocky hills and salt lake margins.

Description

A widespread inland species 80–200 mm high with a scarcely hairy leaf, 40–100 mm long by 6–10 mm wide, which is usually green on the underside, and up to two pale blue and white (rarely pure white) flowers 18–20 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Western Tiny Blue Orchid (Cyanicula aperta) by its almost touching labellum lateral lobes and broader leaf. It also has a more north-westerly distribution.
