Distribution and Habitat

Wongan Hills to Boxwood Hill, growing in sandy-clay, clay and granitic soils in woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A wheatbelt species 150–300 mm high with two to three smooth leaves 120–250 mm long by 8–12 mm wide and up to four pale yellow to yellow, brown marked flowers 18–28 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Common Donkey Orchid (Diuris corymbosa) by its shorter stature, fewer flowered inflorescence and smaller flowers.
