Esperance, growing in shallow soil pockets on coastal granite outcrops.

Description

A rare, geographically restricted species 150–350 mm high with two to three smooth leaves 100–200 mm long by 5–10 mm wide and up to six yellow and brown flowers 20–35 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Common Orchid (Diuris corymbosa) by the prominent dark red-brown blotches at the base of the labellum lateral lobes and its more easterly distribution on coastal granite outcrops near Esperance.
