A rare, geographically restricted species 200–500 mm high with four to six smooth leaves 80–150 mm long by 1–2 mm wide and up to five creamy-ivory to pale yellow, red-marked flowers 18–20 mm across.
It is distinguished from the related and sometimes co-occurring Bee Orchid (Diuris laxiflora) by its cream rather than yellow flower colouration. From the similar Granite Bee Orchid (D. picta) which sometimes has cream flowers it is distinguished by its smaller flowers and more northerly distribution.
