Distribution and Habitat

Windy Harbour to Albany, growing in sandy-clay and clay soils in seasonally wet flats, flowering best in the season following summer fire.

Description

A late flowering species 300–450 mm high with four to five smooth, terete leaves 100–180 mm long by 2–4 mm wide and up to eight pale yellow, brown marked flowers 20–25 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is closely related to Tall Donkey Orchid (Diuris drummondii), predominantly differing in its shorter stature and smaller flowers.
