Distribution and Habitat

Esperance to Cape Arid, growing in sandy-clay and clay soils in seasonally wet flats, flowering best in the season following summer fire.

Description

A rare, geographically restricted species 150–300 mm high with four to six smooth, terete leaves 50–120 mm long by 1–1.5 mm wide and up to five small, pure yellow flowers 8–11 mm across. It is closely related to Common Bee Orchid (Diuris decrementum) and may be a pure yellow flowered form of that species.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Common Bee Orchid (Diuris decrementum) by its pure yellow, unmarked flowers.
