Distribution and Habitat

Perth to Bowelling, growing in sandy-clay and clay soils in seasonally wet flats, flowering best in the season following summer fire.

Description

An uncommon species 300–600 mm high with two to four smooth, terete leaves 80–150 mm long by 1–2 mm wide and up to six small pale yellow, brown marked flowers 7–10 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It often grows with Bee Orchid (Diuris laxiflora) but has smaller, paler coloured flowers with more rounded petals and a shorter, more flattened labellum midlobe.
