Waroona to Muchea, growing in sandy-clay and lateritic soils in forests.

Description

An attractive, rarely seen species 250–400 mm high with two to three smooth leaves 80–250 mm long by 4–8 mm wide and up to five brownish-yellow and mauve flowers 25–35 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Large Pansy Orchid (Diuris magnifica) by its smaller, duller coloured flowers, later flowering period and more inland distribution.
