Capel to Mundijong, growing in sandy soils in forests, woodlands and shrublands.

Description

An attractive species 150–600 mm high with two to three smooth leaves 100–200 mm long by 6–10 mm wide and up to eight yellow, brown and purple flowers 20–30 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Sandplain Donkey Orchid (Diuris tinctoria) by its smaller, more colourful flowers.
