Distribution and Habitat

Bindoon to Mt Barker, growing in sandy-clay and clay soils in forests, woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A small-flowered species 150–350 mm high with two to three smooth leaves 100–200 mm long by 10–15 mm wide and up to seven yellow and brown flowers 15–25 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Common Orchid (Diuris corymbosa) by its darker coloured flower stem and smaller, more darkly marked flowers.
