Distribution and Habitat

Munglinup to Balladonia, growing in shallow soil pockets on granite outcrops and in deeper soils in surrounding shrublands.

Description

A widespread eastern species 200–500 mm high with two to three smooth leaves 100–200 mm long by 8–12 mm wide and up to five bright yellow and mauve flowers 20–35 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Common Orchid (Diuris corymbosa) by its smaller more colourful flowers and easterly distribution.
