Distribution and Habitat

Perth to Harvey, growing in sandy and sandy-clay soils in seasonally wet flats, flowering only in the season following summer fire.

Description

A rare species 150–350 mm high with four to six smooth, terete leaves 50–100 mm long by 1–5 mm wide and up to eight yellow, brown marked flowers 20–35 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is often confused with the closely related Nanny Goat Orchid (Diuris laevis) but has a smaller dorsal sepal, smaller labellum lateral lobes and a more northerly distribution.
