Distribution and Habitat

Gingin to Kalbarri, growing in sandy-clay and clay soils in seasonally wet areas.

Description

A northern species 100–200 mm high with two to six smooth, terete leaves 60–150 mm long by 1–1.5 mm wide and up to four yellow, brown marked flowers 9–11 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It often grows with the related Northern Bee Orchid (Diuris septentrionalis) but has a shorter flower scape, smaller, usually paler coloured flowers and a shorter, less prominently convex labellum midlobe.
