Distribution and Habitat

Port Gregory to Gingin, growing in sandy-clay and clay soils in seasonally wet areas.

Description

A northern species 200–400 mm high with two to four smooth leaves 80–200 mm long by 1.8–2.2 mm wide and up to five pale yellow, brown marked flowers 12–16 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It often grows with the related Northampton Bee Orchid (Diuris segregata) and flowers at the same time but has a taller flower scape and larger, darker yellow flowers with a longer, more prominently convex labellum midlobe.
