A geographically restricted species 200–300 mm high with two to three smooth, terete, basal leaves 100–130 mm long by 1–2 mm wide and up to five yellow, brown marked flowers 10–12 mm across.

It is related to Bee Orchid (Diuris laxiflora) with which it often grows but has smaller flowers and a later flowering period.
