Distribution and Habitat

Kalbarri to Israelite Bay, growing in sandy, sandy-clay and lateritic soils in forests, woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A common species 150–300 mm high with a broad, hairy leaf 20–80 mm long by 6–10 mm wide and up to three glossy-purple flowers 20–30 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

The leaf is green on top and reddish-purple underneath.
